Whole-Home Blinds & Automation for a Toorak Family
A large Toorak family home underwent a full window furnishing overhaul — roller blinds throughout, plantation shutters in the formal rooms, and whole-home automation via Apple HomeKit.
This was one of our most comprehensive projects to date. The family had lived in the home for six years with a mix of aging venetians and mismatched roller blinds. They wanted a clean sweep: everything replaced, everything automated, everything cohesive.
We specified blockout roller blinds in the bedrooms and a sunscreen fabric throughout the living areas. The formal lounge and dining room received timber plantation shutters to add character and weight to those spaces.
All roller blinds are AC hardwired and controlled via Apple HomeKit — the family has a single scene called "Night" that closes every blind in the house simultaneously. The children's rooms have their own schedule, opening automatically at 7am on school days.
